Eve M. White died Monday, October 4, 1999, at the age of 89 years. Mrs. White was born April 19, 1910, in Kiona, Washington, where she was raised. Her maiden name was Hughes. A state employee, she was an interviewer and placement worker for the Department of Human Resources Development in California. She retired in 1972. In 1993, she moved to Portland and in 1997, to Vancouver, Washington. Eve was married to Leo Ira White for more than 50 years; he preceded her in death on July 30, 1986.

Survivors included two nieces and one nephew. No service was held. Her body was cremated and her ashes were scattered over Mount Hood. The family suggested remembrances to the Association for Macular Diseases, 210 E. 64th St., New York City, NY 10021.
