ONEIDA — Mary N. White, 86, of East Sands Street, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 in Colonial Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Rome where she had been a resident for the past month.
Born in Oneida on Oct. 8, 1927 she was the daughter George and Lena Zabele Pease. Mary had been a resident of the area since 1987 moving from Verona, and was educated in Sherrill High School. She married Charles B. White in Stockbridge on Oct. 10, 1943. Mr. White died June 25, 1983.
Prior to her retirement, Mary was employed with the Rome DDSO. She was a member of the Civil Service Employees Association and the Stockbridge United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, ----- and ----- ----- of Oneida; two sons and daughters-in-law, ----- and ----- White of Oneida and ----- and ----- White of Ocala, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Robert Pease in 2001.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St., Oneida with the Rev. Kevin Bailey, officiating. Spring interment will be made in Stockbridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 to 1 p.m., Friday, prior to the funeral service. Contributions, in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society , P.O.
