350. MARY RICHMOND5 (William4, Silvester3, Edward2, John1) was born in Little Compton, R. I., December 26, 1735, and married, first, Dr. George Ware, son of William and Anna (Hodges) Ware, who was born August 26, 1734, and died February 16, 1771. She married, secondly, September 10, 1772, Thomas, son of Thomas and Sarah (Bailey) Church, who was born September 1, 1727. She died in Dighton.
Mary Richmond5 was of Dighton when the banns were published of her marriage to Thomas Church, who removed to Dighton; his son Gamaliel lived there at what is called the Church place. The obituary of Mary5 says that she was "a lady of much reading, and extensive knowledge of the world, fervent in piety, c heerful in manners."

Dr. George Ware, in his will, dated February 4, 1771, probated February 25, 1771,6 mentions wife Mary, and children Anne, Sarah, William Richmond, George and John Hodges. His wife was executor, with his friend and brother Sylvester Richmond, 3rd.Thomas Church married first, Ruth Bailey, and had fourteen children. He was a colonel of militia in the Revolution.
