Revolutionary War:  George enlisted as a private in Captain William Hick's company of Colonel Pope's regiment and marched 7 Dec 1777, returning 27 Dec 1777, service 21 days.  George moved with his family from Little Compton, RI, to Oneida Co, NY.  Upon his arrival he purchased a farm near Parish Hill, Oneida, Oneida Co, NY, upon which farm he lived and labored, loved and died.
