353. ABIGAIL RICHMOND5 (William4, Silvester3, Edward2, John1) was born in Little Compton, R. I., February 28, 1744. She married (banns published December 29, 1764) Capt. Peter Pitt, Jr., of Dighton. They went to Genesee, N.Y., and were the first white family in Ontario Co. They removed, about 1790, to what the Indians called Honega Flats, now the town of Richmond. He was concerned in several townships, and came East to raise money. He "used to exho rt and pray for an hour when saying grace." He was captain of the "minute- men" at the commencement of the Revolution.

1088. REBECCA PITT6, born April 29, 1771; married, 1st, in 1799, Richard Reed; 2nd, March 8, 1804, Jedediah Wood, and had the following children: Elizabeth Brownell Wood7, born in 1804, married William Bailey Sims; Abigail Pitt Wood7, born Jan. 6, 1807, married James Lusk; Sylvester Brownell Wood7, born April 23, 1809, died Aug. 1, 1826; Deborah Richmond Wood7, born Oct 1, 1811, married 1st, Nelson Mills, 2nd, Ezra G. Weld; Phebe Lorina Wood7, born Dec. 17, 1813, married George Thayer.
