    ONEIDA — Myrtle L. Weeks, 87, formerly of West Road, passed away Monday, March 7, 2011 in the Hamilton Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past three days.
       Born in Peterboro on Aug. 6, 1923, she was the daughter of Raymond G. and Anna May Hoyt Hollingsworth. A lifelong resident of the area, also spending time at her daughter's home in Stafford, Va., Ms. Weeks was educated in Oneida schools.
       Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Hamilton College and had previously been employed by the former Bachman Jacks and Parkers Dry Cleaners. Ms. Weeks was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Vernon and was of the Methodist faith.
      Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and George Caswell of Stafford, Va.; four grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Mary Ann Jones of Vernon Center. She was predeceased by one son, Myron C. "Mike" Hollingsworth on March 1, 2003 and two brothers, Denoigh and Thomas L. Hollingsworth Sr.
       The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Diane Mitchell and Sherry Michel for their care and concern.
       Graveside services will be held in the spring in Peterboro Cemetery. Contributions, in her memory, may be made to the Friends of Zachary Morrison, PNC Bank, 1001 Gordon West Shelton, Fredericksburg, Va., 22401. Arrangements are under the direction of the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, NY, 13421.
