Madolyn Mae Tu, 89, of Newark, died Monday morning, November 20, 2006 at Valley West Community Hospital.

Madolyn was born June 26, 1917 in Newark to Otto L. and Bertha H. (Richmond) Miller at the same house she was currently living in. She married Randall K. Tu September 9, 1947 in Yorkville. Randall died March 17, 1985.

She had been a secretary for the Newark Ford garage for several years. She was a member of the Millington United Methodist Church and had been earlier active in the Eastern Star serving as Worthy Matron at Sheridan and receiving her 50 year pin from Oswego Eastern Star. Madolyn is survived by several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Randall K. Tu; a sister, Darleen Miller-Mayor; three brothers, Dr. Otto L. Miller, Burnett Miller, Keith Miller; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Miller.

Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 24, 2006 with Pastor Duane Kaufmann and close friend Carla Klaaren officiating at the Millington-Newark Cemetery. Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home, Ltd in Newark, phone 815-695-5131 is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Millington-Newark Cemetery Association.
