Otto L. Miller

Otto L. Miller, for many years a prominent Newark businessman and a conscientious and able member of the Kendall County Board of Supervisors for 30 years, passed away Sunday morning in the Sandwich Community Hospital at the age of 90.

Funeral services were conducted at the Larson-Gabel Funeral Home in Newark at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. Joe Gibbons and the Rev. Bradner Smith officiated, with interment being made in the Millington-Newark Cemetery.

Otto L. Miller was born in Northville Township, Lasalle county, on February 1, 1876.

He was united in marriage with Bertha Richmond of Kewanee on December 8, 1903. From 1910 until 1932 he was associated with the Newark and Millington banks, and operated a store in Newark with C. H. Pluess of Millington, known as Pluess & Miller. Later he and his son operated the store until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, three sons, a sister, nine grandchildren, six great grand children and three nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
