         Funeral services for Mertie Lee Brisbois will held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ft. Towson Cemetery Chapel in Ft. Towson, OK. Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Mt. Olive Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo, OK.
         Mertie Lee Brisbois was born July 17, 1929 in Ft. Towson, OK to Martin Lee Chauncey & Nora (Nix) Chauncey McKee. She passed from this life on April 22, 2015, in Durant, OK at the age of 85.
         Mertie lived in this area nearly all of her life. She worked as a homemaker, and she enjoyed sewing, embroidery, needlework, gardening, and raising farm animals. She was a member of Full Gospel Church in Grant, OK.
         Mertie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Henry Chauncey; her daughter, Jessie Johnson; and her grandson, Tony Earnest. Mertie is survived by her children, ----- Powell of Ft. Towson, OK, ----- Gostch of Muleshoe, TX, ----- Earnest and wife, -----, of Ft. Towson, OK, ----- Greer and husband, -----, of Hugo, OK, ----- Liles of Hugo, OK, ----- Liles and wife, -----, of Broken Bow, OK, ----- Staton and husband, ----, of Hugo, OK, and ----- Brisbois and wife, -----, of Broken Bow, OK; one sister, Birdie McCollough, of Grant, OK; and many, many grandkids, as well as many other relatives and friends.
