    HEART ATTACK FATAL TO FARMER
    Walter Persinger, 67, Dies At W. S. Major Hospital
    ----------
    Walter Persinger, Hanover township farmer and Shelby county resident since boyhood, died at the W. S. Major hospital at 10:10 o'clock Wednesday night. Mr. Persinger had suffered two minor heart attacks during the day Wednesday and suffered the third attack at 9:15 last night while driving on State Highway 44 west of this city. He was 67 years of age.

    Born in Washington county December 28, 1884 [note: 1885 on grave stone], he was the son of Albert and Alice (Bowers) Persinger. On November 25, 1910 he was married to Carrie Gray, who preceded him in death in November 1926. Mr. Persinger held membership in the Fairland Baptist church.

    Survivors are seven children, Byron and Gray Persinger of Fairland; Mrs. Edith L. Kehrt, rural route 4; Mrs. Martha Jean Law, Morristown; Mrs. Mary Irene Travis, Indianapolis; Mrs. Ann L. Moore, Topeka, Kansas, and Mrs. Beatrice McKay of Rushville. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Brewer of Salem, R.R. and Mrs. Mabel Pennington of Salem.

    Funeral rites will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Ewing Mortuary, with Rev. Archer Shirley officiating. Burial will be in the Fairland cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 10:00 o'clock Friday morning.
