Death of Edwin Antrim
Funeral services were held for Edwin R. Antrim, 71, Saturday afternoon from the Stafford Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn S. Hartong of the Methodist church officiating. Burial was in the Strawberry Point cemetery. Music was furnished by Mrs. John S. Knight and Edward Angier. Mr. Antrim passed away at the University Hospital at Iowa City Thursday morning at 5:45 a.m.
The son of John W. and Louise Moore Antrim, he was born at Fort Dodge July 28, 1870. When twelve year of age, he moved with his family to Strawberry Point. He later moved to Dubuque where he was employed as a motorman on a streetcar line for ten years. With the exception of one and one-half years when he returned to Dubuque, he spent the remainder of his life in Strawberry Point. He was married to Miss Ella Adams at McGregor, July 10, 1900, to which union three children were born. Mr. Antrim was a member of the Christian church.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Rufus Antrim of Winthrop, Ernest Antrim and Mrs. Harry (Edith) Forsythe of Strawberry Point; six grandchildren; and one sister and one brother, Mrs. Will Bowers and Will Antrim both of Strawberry Point. His parents and four sisters preceded him in death.
