  At Christ Church this morning, Mr Fred. H. Crawford was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Miss J. M. Wright, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. A. V. Grace, and Mr Maclellan acting as best man. Mr and Mrs Crawford left by afternoon train for New Plymouth, where the honeymoon is to be spent. Mr Crawford is well-known throughout the colony as head brewer at Messrs T. J. Gibbs and Co.'s, and as evidence of his popularity amongst the brewery staff he was the recipient yesterday of a very handsome presentation as a mark of the esteem in which he is held. With their many friends we unite in wishing Mr and Mrs Crawford long life, health, and prosperity.

  Amongst the visitors to town during the week was Mr. Fred. H. Crawford, at one time well known here in the brewing interests. Some years ago Mr Crawford took up farming pursuits in the Waimarino, and has proved very successful in his venture, added to which, through the death of relations, Mr. and Mrs. Crawford are in receipt of a considerable sum of money as legacies. It is pleasurable to hear in these hard times of the good luck following old and respected residents in and around the district.
