Harrold Wilson
Harrold Braden Wilson, 86, of 1609 E. Taylor St., Bloomington, died at 7:50 a.m. yesterday (June 3, 1991) at Mennonite Hospital Long Term Care Unit.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Second Presbyterian Church, Bloomington, with the Rev. Philip D. Queen officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Bloomington.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m today at Metzler-Froelich Memorial Home.
He was born June 13, 1904, in Weldon, a son of Thomas J. and Pearl Braden Wilson. He married Alice Carlson on March 24, 1934, in Bloomington. She died Sept. 30, 1956. He later married Pauline Schmidt on Aug. 3, 1957, in Bloomington. She survives.
Also surviving is one son, Richard, Cliffwood, N.J.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Mr. Wilson was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Bloomington, where he had served on the board of trustees and board of deacons. He had served as an usher for many years and was head usher for seven years.
He was a former member of the Bloomington Exchange Club and a member of Koda-Roamers Camera Club.
He was a Normal Community High School graduate and a registered architect.
Mr. Wilson was associated for many years with the firm of Schaeffer-Wilson and Evans in Bloomington. This firm designed many of the current residence halls and buildings on the Illinois State University and Illinois Wesleyan University campuses. Among others, it also designed the Ensenberger and State Farm buildings in downtown Bloomington.
Memorials may be made to the building fund of Second Presbyterian Church.
