Elden 'Tex' Redfairn
CARLOCK — Elden "Tex" Redfairn, 95, Eureka, formerly of Carlock, died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday (April 2, 2008) at Eureka Community Hospital, Eureka.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the East White Oak Bible Church, Carlock, with the Rev. Ron Workman officiating. Burial will be in East White Oak Union Cemetery, Carlock. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Otto-Argo-Calvert Memorial Home, Carlock.
Memorials may be made to the general fund of East White Oak Union Cemetery, Carlock.
He was born on July 10, 1912, in Patoka, Ind., son of David Irvin and Margaret Gertrude Wilson Redfairn. He married Maxie V. Waller on Oct. 3, 1936, in Mount Carmel. She died Aug. 22, 2003.
He is survived by his cousin, Joe (Helen) Wilson of Indiana, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: two daughters; two sisters, Lena Violet Redfairn and his twin, Elva Mae.
He was a member of the East White Oak Bible Church, Carlock.
He served six years in the Civilian Conservation Corps, and had farmed for 40 years in the Carlock area. He also sold used cars and car parts.
