Wis. woman ID's as crash victim
Authorities have identified the woman killed in a head-on crash on Wednesday in Hastings. Debora Hawkins, 49, of Ellsworth, Wis., was driving south on the Hwy. 61 bridge over the Mississippi River at 6:30 a.m. when a northbound motorist lost control and hit another vehicle before crossing the center line and colliding with Hawkins' car, the State Patrol said. Kevin Holcomb, 42, of Hastings, the driver of the vehicle that hit Hawkins, was not injured. Carrie Cernohous, 48, of River Falls, Wis., the driver of the first vehicle struck by Holcomb, was taken to Regina Medical Center in Hastings with a neck injury. She was released Wednesday, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Debora R. Hawkins, 49, of Prescott and formerly of Rice Lake died Feb. 6 of injuries received in an automobile accident in Hastings, Minn.
Ms. Hawkins was born Dec. 19, 1957 at Sidney, Neb., to Allen and Virginia (Brown) Clark. She and her family moved to Rice Lake, where she attended school and then was a certified nurse's assistant at Rice Lake Convalescent Center for a number of years before working at Wal-Mart. Ms. Hawkins was a manager at Wal-Mart in Hastings at the time of her death.
She is survived by a daughter, ----- ----- of Chippewa Falls; three sons, ----- of Rice Lake, ----- of Eau Claire and ----- of Chippewa Falls; 11 grandchildren; her mother, Virginia Clark of Rice Lake; a sister, ----- ----- of Amery; three brothers, ----- of Almena and ----- and -----, both of Rice Lake; three half sisters, ----- ----- of Colorado Springs, Colo., Janice Culver of Chetek and ----- ----- of Indianapolis; and a half brother, ----- Culver of Mesquite, Nev.-02/14/07
