Albert Arnold ANDERSON was born on 18 March 1905 in Arlington, Snohomish County, Washington, USA, the firstborn son of Buron Andrew Anderson and Coral Cecil Curtiss.
About 1925, Albert married Nancy Liona Hill, probably in Washington. Nancy was born on 20 March 1908 in Castle Rock, Cowlitz County, Washington, USA and died on 19 August 1978 in Port Townsend, Jefferson County, Washington, USA at age 70. Albert and Nancy (or "Liona" as she was frequently known) had 5 or 6 children together, but the marriage ended in divorce in 1936. Their firstborn was an infant daughter who died in 1926. Another daughter, Alberta Rose Anderson, also died quite young, in 1941, when she was only 8 years old. My source on this family (a distant cousin, but much more closely connected to Albert than I am), tells of a son, Albert Arnold Anderson Jr., who was killed at age 8 or 9 by a drunk driver at Woodland Park in Seattle, King County, Washington, USA. Since I cannot find any death records for Albert Arnold Anderson Jr., I have a strong suspicion that "Albert" may be a confusion with his sister Alberta, who did die when she was 8 years old in Seattle, Washington. However, until it can be proven one way or another, I do not discount the possibility of Albert Arnold Anderson Jr. as their 6th child. Besides the 2 or 3 children who died young, Albert and Nancy also had a son and a daughter (still living in 2009), as well as a son, Ray Clifton Anderson, who died in 1975 at the age of 46.
After Albert and Nancy divorced, they both remarried and had additional children. Nancy's second husband was Leroy Dunn. Albert's second wife was Dorothy Maude DESSO, who was a sister to his sister-in-law (the wife of Albert's younger brother). Dorothy was the daughter of Lucius Allen Desso and his wife, Alta Ocean Yaryan, and she was born 29 Jan 1914 in Cataldo, Idaho. Albert and Dorothy had one daughter together, but their marriage also ended in divorce. Dorothy remarried Norman Herman Norbach before 1968; he died in 1986 in Portland, Oregon, and Dorothy died a few years later on 14 Feb 1990, also in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, USA. Dorothy and Norman Norbach are both buried in the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
Before his death, Albert resided in Port Townsend, Jefferson County, Washington, USA, but he died of a heart attack on 2 February 1969 in Sacramento, Sacramento County, California, USA at the age of 63. Albert was cremated and then buried in Greenwood Cemetery (also known as Chimacum Cemetery) in Chimacum, Jefferson County, Washington, USA.
