bullet  General Notes

Coral Cecil CURTISS (or "Coe" as she was sometimes known to family and friends) was born 17 Feb 1883 in Harrison, Clare County, Michigan, USA.  She was the daughter of Dell Ray B. CURTISS and Jennie S. Van Rensselaer DAVIS. In the late 1890s or early 1900s, the family moved from Michigan to Washington state.  It was there, about April 1903, that Coral married her husband, Buron Andrew ANDERSON. Buron (or "Andy" as he was sometimes known) was born 30 March 1883 in Christiania, Oslo, Norway, the son of Andrew Elefson and Asher Burenson.

Coe and Andy had three children together:  Albert Arnold, Victor Allen, and Curtiss Buron ANDERSON.  Victor Allen died on 9 Jan 1909 in Bryant, Snohomish County, Washington, USA; he was a 9-day-old infant.

In September 1918, the family resided at 6529 Earl Avenue in Seattle, King County, Washington, USA. Buron worked as a labor tractor driver. In the 1930 US Census on 21 April 1930, the family resided in Victory Falls, Pierce County, Washington, USA.

Buron died of cancer on 17 December 1949 in Port Townsend, Jefferson County, Washington, USA at the age of 66.  He was buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Chimacum, Jefferson County, Washington, USA.  Coral died 14 years later, also of cancer, on 18 April 1964 in Seattle, King County, Washington, USA at the age of 81.  She too was buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Chimacum, Jefferson County, Washington, USA.
